There are many businesses and consumers who are about to be impacted by some of the biggest changes in the lighting industry. In a few short months many of the common place lighting products will no long be manufactured.
Effective July 14, 2012 the US Department Of Energy will ban the manufacture of non-conforming
Halogen PAR lamps/bulbs,
Linear and
U-Shaped fluorescent and
Incandescent reflector bulbs. Those lamps/bulbs must meet minimum LPW (Lumen Per Watt) requirements. Most standard lamps/bulbs in these categories will fail to meet those requirements and will no longer be manufactured.
The LPW Requlations Will Effect The Follow Lamps/Bulbs:
- All Standard Halogen PAR38, PAR30 and PAR20 that are 40-205 Watts
- All Standard T12 U-Bend & Linear 4 Foot T12 Fluorescent Tubes
- Many 4 Foot T8 Linear Fluorescent Tubes
- Most 8 Foot T12 Fluorescent Single Pin (Slimline) and High Output
- Some Incandescent Reflectors R20, R30, BR30, R40 and BR40 and affected
Number One Lighting will continue to sell these non-compliant lighting products until they are available to us.
